KenKunen's physics changed driving of the FTC cars a lot, but minor differences seems to be also in standard cars (but not as big as with FTCs), due to changed tyre physics. My best knowledge is in Mini's and Mini standard is now more difficult to drive than MiniFTC. FTC cars also needs different handling in jumps and sometimes different driving lines are needed to keep car on the track. It is a nice addon to the game. I like all physics versions, it is now nice to have more cars to be selected in e.g. online racing. And as I mentioned in elsewhere, the new snow physics makes all snow rally driving totally unrealistic for persons, who has driven in winter.
RT 1.011 (=KenKunen patched 1.01) means that MiniFTC is couple sec faster than RT 1.0 (=original) & 1.01 (=updated) MiniFTC. E.g. in Kenya2 MiniFTC can now go under 2.50!
Handling the jumps and slides are different in all versions. You just need to practize a lot. I recommend that you use many cars to get more skills to handle different situations. Mess with RWDs and FWDs is much more interesting than driving always the same car. When you practize for some championship race, it is ofcourse better to practize the same selected car before making the attempt. If something unexpected happens during the race, you will be happy, you drived different cars and made different errors. It may be possible to even drive to finish even with enormous stutering in graphics, if you have driven in those situations too.
The cars feels heavier now than before. The bumbers are propably stiffer, when the car gets down to the ground after jump, it does not jump up and down again as in RT 1.0&1.01. So, the suspension actually works like it is in good condition. It could be nice, if damage modelling could change the car suspension from 1.011 version to 1.01 version, in some suspension damage levels. Or if the steering could go from 1.011 version to 1.0 version, in some steering failure levels. That I would call realistic. ;-)
